Pilates Bio

Lisa-Anne has had accomplished careers around the globe: teaching high school Spanish, an Arabic Intern for the US government, HR Manager at L.L. Bean. She has traveled the world and lived in Spain, Japan, Ireland and in over 10 U.S. states- most recently relocated from Boston.

A lifelong athlete as a competitive swimmer, dancer, soccer, water polo player, she also loves to Racewalk. As a Pilates teacher, she loves working with all types of clients, with experience teaching prenatal, elderly, young adults, athletes and injured students. She applies modifications to exercises and activities for all types of bodies, as well as the ability to challenge highly fit athletes with specialized experience working with Pre/Postnatal clients and Postural Training.

Lisa-Anne’s hobbies are dancing, dancing and dancing. She also loves outdoor physical activities such as hiking and kayaking. She is also a foodie, enjoying new restaurants and cuisines, as well as performing arts and travel is still a great love. Her personal philosophy is to walk with purpose, stop to smell the flower and see the glass half full.

 

Aqua Bio

Lisa-Anne French has been a lifelong athlete.  In her highschool and college years, she swam competitively, ranking 4th in the state in the 100 meter freestyle, as well as playing on the water polo team.  Along with her dedication to water sports, Lisa-Anne has a dance background, which led her to become a BASI certified Pilates instructor and a NIA Black Belt.  This combination of athletic abilities gives Lisa-Anne the knowledge to instruct clients to use proper form and body alignment in learning and perfecting swim strokes, as well as other aquatic exercise.  She has a strong understanding of the properties of the water and enjoys sharing this with her clients so that they can learn how to be safe and get a stress free yet challenging workout.
