North County Heart & Stroke Walk Postponed per the American Heart Association: |
“We are writing to let you know that we are postponing the North County Heart & Stroke Walk, planned for the Flower Fields tomorrow morning starting at 6 a.m. Please accept our most sincere apologies for the short notice and know that we will be in touch as soon as we can with a new date.
This decision was made based on the fact that a large percentage of our Heart & Stroke Walk participants are health care professionals who are working tirelessly to plan and prepare for the potential impact that the COVID-19 virus could have on our community. We are so grateful for their dedication and service and we wish to support them in every possible way. We would like to thank our incredible team of volunteers who have given so much time and energy to ensure our North County Heart & Stroke Walk guests have an amazing experience. And we would also like to thank our sponsors and donors, who have generously given through the North County Heart & Stroke Walk to impact the health of our community. The funds we raise going forward are critical to our urgent mission: to be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Gifts will be used to fund lifesaving research, support health and education initiatives in our community, improve the quality of care in our hospitals, advocate for healthy policies and so much more. We are sorry we won’t be seeing you tomorrow, and we appreciate your support and grace as we adapt our plans. We will be in touch soon!” |
