We extend our deep appreciation to Nancy White for over 10 years of providing a truly exceptional experience to the families of Kidz in Motion. We are grateful for her many contributions- Nancy started the childcare program from its very first day. She has created an amazing department that supports the hearts and minds of our littlest members with educational activities, weekly themes, and special events. We are very proud of her and the educated, experienced, and engaging team members. We wish her a very happy retirement- you might see her on the golf course, or packing her bag to embark on a traveling adventure. Thank you for everything, Miss Nancy- you will be missed but never forgotten!
Children will have the opportunity to meet and learn about pet therapy and service dogs. The Tri-City Medical Center Auxiliary Volunteers will be teaching children how to approach a working dog, the kinds of services the dogs perform, and how they work in hospitals and schools.
The event will run on Monday, August 12 from 10-11 AM inside Kidz in Motion.
Please join us in welcoming our new Childcare Manager, Patty Silva! A little about her: “I have been working in the field of Early Childhood Education now for 27 years. I have a Bachelors Degree in Human Development and also a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena CA.
I first began my teaching career at an Infant Center in 1992 working as a teacher’s aid. I have since worked in different capacities teaching 2’s and 3’s at a large childcare center located north of Los Angeles. I have also worked as a nanny, and I ran my own home childcare in Gilbert, Arizona for two years.
My family and I live in San Marcos. I have a 16 year old son, his name is Noah. He is a musician and enjoys playing guitar, saxophone and violin.
We enjoy spending time together by going to the movies, going out to eat, and taking small close to home staycations. I enjoy baking, reading books, going for walks and my newest idea- taking Zumba classes.
I am thrilled to be joining Tri-City Wellness & Fitness Center as the new Child Care Manager. It has been my goal to mentor and help others joining in the field of childcare. At Tri-City Wellness & Fitness Center I understand parents are looking for a healthy lifestyle. I want to give parents comfort in knowing that while they are at the Wellness & Fitness Center, their child is safe, happy and well cared for.”

Children from 5 through 12 years old are invited to join in the fun and benefits of Yoga class! Yoga can offer children better focus, improved flexibility, more energy, less stress and increased self esteem. And…it’s fun!
Classes take place on Wednesdays from 4-5 PM and Saturdays from 9 – 10 AM in the Conference Room.
August’s Saturday Kids Yoga is Ocean themed. All poses are sea animals, and kids enjoy a themed craft/activity at the end of class.
Friends can participate for a $6 fee. Friend’s parent must be on site. Please bring your own yoga mat.
