Congratulations to Kate Norcott
We thank her for volunteering her time and effort on working with the Tri-City Team. She and her daughter are the models of of the Mi Baby & Me Pilates Mat class that’s part of the Medical Integration program!
My name is Kate Norcott and I’m British and have been living in Carlsbad for the last 2 years. My Husband is in the Royal Marines and has been on an exchange programme with the US Marine Corps at Camp Pendleton and previous to that we were based in Quantico, Virginia for a year when he was attending the Marine Corps University.
I joined Tri-City Wellness while I was 25 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child as I was feeling well and getting a little bored at home. I did get a few funny looks when I walked into my first RPM class with rather a large bump and continued to go until I was 37 weeks pregnant. The instructors were great with me and modified things as I wasn’t able to do everything…I gave it a good go though!
I put my membership on hold until my baby was 6 months old and then dived right back into classes, starting with Pilates classes and Bodyflow as I definitely needed to build my core strength back up before I even attempted to do any other classes. I’ve been consistent with attending the centre, 4-5 days a week and I’m now starting to feel fitter and stronger than I’ve ever felt before, I feel great.
I’d like to add that all of this has been made possible due to the fact that Kids in Motion, run by Ms. Nancy and her wonderful team, have such a great facility. They are all so sweet and caring and I’ve felt happy leaving my baby with them from day 1. All my children absolutely love coming in and it’s been a godsend for me as I don’t have family around to help me with them. Kids in motion enables me to have some time to myself and keep me sane! Ha!
Thank you to everyone that works here, you are all lovely and always smiling and always very helpful. The instructors are all so knowledgeable, inspiring and always so encouraging. I’ve had a great time here and will really miss it as we’re actually moving back to the UK at the end of July.
