Aquatic Department Special Valentine’s Event

DATE – Thursday 2.14.19

Join Celica & Fernanda for this special 2 hour aquatic event! All levels are welcome.

The first hour will be aqua lite, gentle, stretch and balance focused.

The second hour will be like aqua motion with a  cardio circuit and strength training.

Members will need to have one class pass for 1 hour OR 2 passes for 2 hours.

Aquatic Active Education: H2O Cardio for a Happy Heart

PRESENTER – Holly O’Neill, Aquatic Department Coordinator

Holly O’Neill has been teaching Aquatic Fitness in the Carlsbad area for 30 years.  Each month she will be hosting a complimentary 20 minute small group demonstration in the Warm Water Pool.

This month will be focused on safe and effective ways to increase your heart rate in the water. Plan to get into the pool and experience a workout in an  aquatic environment.

Suzy has worked at the Center since 2014 as an aquatic and group exercise instructor. Her fitness experience began in 1994 when she became nationally certified as a Group Exercise Instructor by ACE (American Council on Exercise), followed shortly thereafter by her second national certification as an Aquatic Group Exercise Instructor through AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association).

Suzy’s passion is functional fitness, and she enthusiastically invests her many years of experience and varied creative techniques in the mature adult population. Suzy helps both individuals and groups maintain their independence through effective targeted programs that include strength, core, balance, coordination and flexibility training. She addresses the needs of every individual, whatever their present fitness level, with compassion, integrity and genuine interest
