ic-Anthony Avitabile

Throughout my life I have been involved in helping people improve their health in many different capacities. Whether it was coaching youth basketball, helping to run physical activity programs for elementary-aged children, working with athletes in the athletic training room in high school and college, assisting patients in regaining health and function in physical therapy settings or working to help people reach their fitness goals as a personal trainer, it has always been my goal to help people I work with to become better than they were the day before. I believe that long-term fitness and health has to come from a motivation within the individual and that I serve as an instrument in helping people to realize their potential and to give them the tools and knowledge they need to achieve it. I am a strong believer that fitness also has to be fun. While working with my clients I make sure to balance a certain intensity level with a positive and fun approach to the session and to the program as a whole.

Outside of helping others reach their goals I enjoy staying very active. I grew up playing basketball and still play whenever possible. I spend time biking, swimming, and running and plan on doing my first triathlon very soon. I have recently begun playing tennis and am quickly falling in love with the sport. Soccer, golf, running, hiking, and working out are also some of my favorite pass-times as well as cooking and trying new foods.
