Many research studies have shown the medical benefits of meditation:
Decreased heart rate, lower blood pressure, quicker recovery from stress,
muscle relaxation, increased energy and more. Additional psychological
and spiritual benefits may also be gained from this practice.
Weekly sessions may include visualization, movement, writing or other
kinds of meditation in the first half of the session. This is followed by a silent
meditation period for members to enjoy their own style of meditation to
complete the hour. No prior experience is needed.
