Aqua Class Descriptions

Aqua-Fit is a fun, fast paced water work out that combines cardio, core, balance and strength training. This is an interval style class with a proper warm up and cool down. Props are used at the instructor’s discretion. On a scale of 1-10 this is moderate to intense activity. Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) 6 – 8.

Aqua-Lite uses the freedom of the water to improve range of motion, flexibility and overall strength. Water walking is used to improve cardiovascular endurance, core strength and balance. Proper breathing techniques are incorporated as well. On a scale of 1-10 this is easy to moderate activity. Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) 3 – 4.

Aqua-Motion is an educational interval style class that includes combinations of low impact and range of motion exercises. This class builds upon Aqua-Lite so you progress your work out and get stronger. On a scale of 1-10 this is moderate activity. Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) 4 – 6.

Aquatic Orientation is designed to familiarize members and non-members with all that the aquatic program has to offer. During this complimentary informational Orientation our Aquatic coordinator will present an overview of the aquatic departments program offerings as well as the policies and procedures for taking classes. Our coordinator will offer a recommendation of what would best meet your needs in aquatic class level or assist in the selection of aquatic training. You will also learn information about aquatic workout attire, training ticket process, equipment usage and open water times.

  • Mondays from 3:30-4:30pm

Arthritis Foundation Aquatic Program is for those suffering from arthritis and are in need of exercise in a warm water pool.

Requirements include an RSVP in advance. Members & guests must register with the fitness staff for this program.

  • Costs: $35 for members / $60 for guests
  • Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 1:00-2:30pm

Coach On Deck is a complimentary session designed to assist you in improving your swimming skills as well as learn new ones. It is available to everyone, from a beginnner to a triathlete.

Requirements include members & guests must be able to finish one pool length without stopping (any stroke is acceptable). No sign-ups required, just show up and participate.

  • Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm

Swim N Sync is a 16-Week Training and Education Program that begins on Saturday, September 10th and continues until December 31st. During this 4-month progressive program, you will learn all swim strokes and turns correctly, you’ll increase strength by use of our Aqualogix Fitness Equipment, burn calories effectively in the water, and create a comprehensive training program you can implement for the rest of your life. 

Requirements include members & guests must be able to swim one pool length without stopping. Space is limited to the first 10 whom have registered at the Service Desk.

  • Program Fee: $320 for all 16 weeks ($30 drop-in per class)
  • Saturdays from 9:15-10:15am
